In the last month I have tried more than a dozen web building programs.
There is only one that works well for a beginner.
Search for WYSIWYG web builder.. That is for What you see is what you get.
It is published by Pablo, and it is the best.
Download the free 1 month trial version and go for it. It is "drag and drop" you don;t have to write one word of code.
Insert text, pictures, files, just about anything and I haven't seen one glitch yet. If you can't get a web site up and running with this program in less than a week, then you need a programmer.
After you have finished your web site, you will have to contact a company for a name registration and for hosting. Good luck.

You can, but theres a problem. You want to run a business, and your business is about marketing. So its critical that you have a professional looking site, that works.
There are several stages to getting published. The first is figuring out what to put on the pages, and what should go on the home page. Then next is designing the pages and the site. And the third is coding the design.
Its not as easy as people make out. For a home page you can cobble something together. For a marketing business, pay a professional web designer!
A bad site will kill your business, not bring new business in.
Get a few quotes from different companies, and ask to see some of their previous work.

You can design your own web page at one of the free hosting sites such as bravenet.com.
On the other hand, stop taking work away from us website designers! Commission someone to do it for you! If it is for your company, particularly a marketing company, be very careful about the presentation of the site. If you seriously want to use it for promoting your business, best get a professional to help you. And get your own domain name rather than using a free service.

No, it's not possible to design your own web page. There's only one guy in the world who's allowed to design web pages, and he's done all the web pages there have ever been. Unfortunately his name is top secret and you can only apply to get a web page done by him if you're a member of the Secret Web Cabal (TM).

The answer above is completely wrong, the guy who said that you cant get a designer for free obviously doesnt know. you can probably find someone who will need the experience, or maybe will want to design you it for free, if they can have an advert on your site.
I however, would design you a site for free, if you wanted, because i need to build a portfolio of work.

Yes.
You can get books from the library that tells you from start to finish how to do it all, you can download instructions as well.
Look at websites you like and click on view - source and that will give you the coding, when you know what you are doing a bit you will be able to modify the coding to suit your own requirements.
It is a bit time consuming to learn from scratch but someone had to at the beginnning!
