seeing yesterday was a holiday and I am not sure the rules your company applies you might want to go so you don't lose your holiday pay and/or show up and show signs of illness than go home.

most times I just plain old don't feel like going in I just call and say I wont be there no reason given... for that my business not theirs, they have rules and policies re guarding attendance, nothing withing those states I have to give a definite reason if I am going to get an occurrence anyhow.

but if you just absolutely must have an excuse w/o feeling guilty about it say you have any upset stomach and take some pep-to to "soothe" your mind if your tummy doesn't really ail you =p

I managed a family entertainment center on Maui for a while. One day... a very nice day...sunny, cloudless, perfect waves...one of our employees called out sick. He told me, no kidding, that it was too nice out to go to work, he needed to go surfing and be outside. The business was a small one where we talked to the owner a couple times a day. I told her about my call out. We laughed. She didn't fire him, but gave him a warning about trying it again. It was so bold.

--Bad case of diarreah. Constant interruptions. Had beef stew for dinner.
--"Aunt" is ill and not expected to make it. May be out a week or so.
--Strep throat and slight temp, Contagous. Dizzy, vomiting chunks.
--Car problems. Will be in shop for most of day. Hole in muffler.
--If female, PMS, cramps (really!) Need hot bath, bed rest.
--If male, ankle sprain playing basketball--must "limp" for 3 days.
--Someone "slashed" tires, cops on way to file report, repairs.
--Out of town relatives visit. Haven't seen in 3 years. First cousins from Georgia.
--Lost voice at "game" last night--whisper on call-in to work.
--Tripped and fell over garden hose in driveway. Hurt shoulder & left arm. Remember to wear sling for few days.

Hope these help!! Everyone deserves a rest.

diareah always works because they are grossed out to asked questions. Or a fever is un-questionable
