Infant cereal (unlike regular cereals/oatmeals) are fortified with iron, so it is best to stick with them as long as possible. I know my 11.5 month old now refuses to eat anything that doesn't have something to chew in it (and she still has no teeth), so in each bite of infant cereal I give her a small piece of cut up fruit (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, microwaved apple, pears work well). Also, you could try different types of infant cereals (barley, oatmeal, rice, musli, mixed) and different brands. I use Heinz, but I have heard good things about Milupa (both sold at Wal-Mart, and lots of other stores). Other options would be yogurt, toast & jam, bagels, english muffins, raisin toast, fruit, and healthy adult cereals (puffed wheat is great). Good luck!

Try flavored Cream of Wheat or even regular Oatmeal...the Fruit and Cream, or Apple Cinnamon flavors. Gerber makes Toddler Cereals that my children loved.

You know graduates have many varieties of food for babies. That/s what my one-year old eats. Sometimes you can fix mashed potatoes or even smash up vienna sausages and if you dont really want to give them that, try cutting a weiner in half (the skinny way to prevent choking) And you may want to ween her on these foods b/c of the reflux. My child has this also. Shes on zantac and reglan

Baby biscuits. It comes in Orange or plain flavour.
It tastes yummy too.
Break it into small pieces, so that she could hold it.
Tht shouldnt be a prob.
It's ok to let a child enjoy what she eats and mess up the place.
It's normal and encouraging.

Is she allowed milk? If so, what about yoghurt? There are a great range and you do not have to choose one with sugar. Many have pureed fruit in them to add sweetness and flavour.
