I think it's because there isn't a such thing as a "peasent". And peasants haven't existed in the U.S. since the American Revolution. Something about all men being equal, well, all white men. Everyone else was added later.

Wow, so we are not supposed to question Big brother , arewe?
Where did you go for your 2 minutes of hate?
----
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Göring while in his jail cell during the Nuremberg Trials
-----
“The broad mass of the nation … will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one.” — Adolf Hitler, in his 1925 book Mein Kampf.
-----
In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner of later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy.

Ah! An elitist! How refreshing! NOT!
In case you didn't notice, "pal," this is America. A land without titles. You're no better than a homeless man, in this, the new world. If you want to be "better," get back on the boat. I may not like liberals, or conservatives; but, they are mine, and you can't get away with your uncouth denigrations!

The public has the right to question the decisions of ANY elected official. Just as they have the right to NOT vote for him. He's not the bloody messiah.

Surely democracy is about being allowed to question leaders' decisions? And abusing people who disagree with something that you agree with is not a great argument. Oh, and it's spelt "peasants".
