Well I definitly know what an exersaucer is, most moms do. They are great for babies, they strengthen the legs for when they start walking. We have always used them in our family and none of the kids have any problems, and the kids enjoy them.

Excersaucers are fine for babies (of course, I wouldnt leave the child in one for hours at a time). I am not sure where you heard of excersaucers being bad for a baby or if you just thought it might be on your own. However, that information may have been misunderstood. The old fashioned infant walkers were mostly discontinued because they caused children to have more trouble walking and were dangerous (e.g. flipping over, falling down staircases, etc...) No such information has ever been found regarding excersaucers.

If you talking about what I know of as walkers, then they can be if they the seat is set to high and they can only reach the floor on tiptoe.
That happened to a friend of mines little boy but it wasn't permanent. When he learnt to walk he would tiptoe instead of walking flat footed.
He eventually learnt to walk properly without any aids.
I used walkers for all my 3 kids and they where fine I think they are great inventions and give baby freedom. Just remember to keep the seat low.

well i havent heard of them being bad and i know of children that have used them... they are supposed to be better on the feet than walkers bc they arent actually using thier feet tooo early on, also they have multi height levels, which is good for when they start to get older... if they are too little to stand and use their legs, u can put it up so that they wont have the opportunity to... all the colors and music are good for the brain.. as long as u ocassionally play with ur child while they are in them also...
they have an einstein one that is supposed to help and talks to the baby about the pictures and colors... things liek that...
any child that doesnt get human contact tho, isnt developing correctly in my opinion, every child need adult contact and playing with... so no they arent good if u plan on just leaving ur child in the 24/7

no, they don't cause problems....everything in moderation....they need floor time too. my kids have/had a walker with toys in the front and my girlfriend had an exersaucer for her son....they all turned out fine....no foot problems...(besides, they will let you know when they are ready to get out)

depending on the age, the play mats are good or putting a blanket down with toys on it, even the watermat with things in it they can slap on is fun.

good luck!!

I had one for my son, but limited the time he spent in it to one Baby Einstein video (20-30 minutes). He was usually in it just long enough for me to take a shower. He actually wasn't that crazy about it. We had no developmental problems. I think you'd have to leave a baby in one for hours at a time for there to be any ill effects.

exercausers?? what is that??

walkers are said to cause foot problems - although my son used it, and he has not had any problems and he is now nearly 4

bouncers - are fine as long as the floor is safe and is attached properly and they cant pull anything or injure themselves on the door frame.

It was one of the best buys- my daughters loved it. There is no evidence of hurting legs & I don't think they do however they make the legs strong.
