They mean to say that Venus has no Moon(s).
A satellite is an object that orbits around a planet. There are two kinds of satellites: natural and artificial. An example of natural satellite is the Moon, which orbits around the Earth. Artificial satellites are man-made, and orbit the Earth, for various reasons, like telecommunications.
When they say Venus has no satellites, they mean that the planet Venus has no natural satellites. It has no objects orbiting around it, like the Earth has the Moon.

Satellites are natural bodies smaller than planets and orbit planets like planets orbit the Sun or another star. Our Moon is a satellite of the Earth, Phobos and Deimos are satellites of Mars.
That Venus has no satellites does not mean, that there have never artificial satellites from Earth been sent to Venus!

Satellites can both Artificial and Natural. Hubble are LISA are Artificial Satellites. In other words they are "Man Made". Natural Satellites would moons such as Europa, Titan, Io, ect. They were not man made. When they say Venus has no satellites they are saying that Venus has no moons. Mars has two Satillites which is the same thing as Mars has two moons.
