Unfortunatly, I say yes. When it comes down to it, money is needed for survival. Food, clothing, shelter, it all costs money. I've yet to meet someone homeless who is perfectly content with life. Bills after Bills cause a person to work more and more. Taking away from life. It make people choose careers, choose "correct paths" and avoid "mistakes". Sure there is love. But behind love there is always the money situation. Even the rich aren't happy with their money. They always want more! Or perhaps they can't decide how to spend their money! Or their so called 'friends' are just asting as friends to get money! .. Money is an economical nightmare.

Yes it is necessary but not definite. I believe that the only way to be happy is to be contented with what you have. Happiness is a very subjective factor in ones being. Being happy doesn't depend on achieving what you want but rather making the best out of what is given. Be content on what you have but be sure to aim high and never stop believing that you can do better every time. But if all else fails, don't forget that an ordinary you has an extraordinary God to back you up

We have needs that must be met. Unfortunatly, people seem to confuse needs and wants. We have little money, but are happy. Don't get me wrong, I'd like more, but I could be working and sending the kids to daycare and we'd have more, but the tradeoff of time with the kids and my husband are essential for us. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I see all these people running around with cell phones, big tv's, and huge SUV's, and I hope that I never become so important to have to have a cell phone. People can wait until I get home. People have closets of clothes that they never wear. I want my needs to be met, sure, but I hope that I never lose sight of the fact that the amount of money you need to be happy is really not that much.

Money should be viewed as a tool... nothing more and nothing less. One can be happy without money. Most people find happiness in the little things in life...those things that are priceless.

not necessary but god it certainly helps... I think it can help you or kill you all depend on how much you care about it... I mean, I know this couple, they have a lot of money, but despite they love each other, they fight all the time, always braking apart and coming back together... the money has not give them pace nor understanding... and I know this other couple... they are in kind of a economical crisis, but they Love each other, they support each other, spend great time together, they get worry of course but they truly together.... I think money helps you if you don't get caught for it...use money don't let money to use you...you decide...

Not really, but if the person don´t have money for basic needs then it is difficult to have inner happiness and peace.
On the other hand if one is rich doesn´t mean one is happy, one might be or might not be happy depends on her level of attachment to materialism. If one is slave of materialism can´t be happy weather has lots of money or little. If one searches for happiness from limited material objects can´t get permanent happiness. If one searches happyness from infinit sources, that kind of happyness can be more lasting.

this is the biggest lie that so many people believe to be true. There is such a quest for money becuase people have this mindset that if they are rich they are happy. Most often having money brings about even more stress. The more you have..the more you spend..the bigger your headache.
