I woke up with the tv on last night and the movie had worked its way into my dream...I am just trying to find out what movie this was. It was black and white and I think I remember a cowboy in it, giving some speech about a girl. I can't find a listing that shows the CW anywhere online

The CW network seems to only provide primetime programming. Late at night the affiliates seem free to air whatever they want to. My local CW station airs sitcoms in the time frame you mentioned.
