See, my mom cooks a lot (and so do I) and she uses a lot of grease. Problem is, with this winter weather, the windows are often left closed, and that grease smell permeates the entire apartment, ends up in my jackets/clothes, and leaves me smelling...smelly.

Any ideas how to get the smell off my clothes and/or prevent the smell from getting on them in the first place?

I work in a restaurant and have the same problem. I use a new product by febreze. It's called "Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator". It works great. www.newfebreze.com It's the only thing that helps.

Febreeze. Preventing, try putting a bag of cedar wood chips in your closet and/or drawers. You will have a smell of cedar on the clothes so, which is worse?
