Read read read. You could start with simpler books and then move on to more difficult books, particularly those with which you are already familiar. Not only will you get a taste of different types of writing and conversational style, but you'll get a broad range of vocabulary words and it can be enjoyable. As for your grammar, don't feel uncomfortable about getting it perfectly. Most people when talking with their friends are more casual and may engage in informal talk or slang. You friends know English isn't your first language so they'll understand. The sad thing is, is the number of people who do have English as a first language and there are a lot of them with terrible grammar. Personally I find it endearing when someone is trying their best to speak English well; the earnest effort combined with an accent can be adorable.

well, learning a language can be hard because English has all these weird word, symbols, etc. i mean i haven't completly mastered English yet and i have spoken it since birth. what you can do is get a book in English and the same book in whatever language you speak, read a word in your language and look at the same word in the English book. if you keep doing this you will memorize the words

I think you are pulling our legs. But the best way to get to master English is to go to a school that specializes in English As A Second Language. Some are in the Catholic schools..but check your local school/college/universitys...good luck

Read, watch tv, listen to books on CD, make english friends you can write too. ask someon to teach you 'slang' if you can talk like actual english people rather than the queen then you will feel like you are speaking better!

Television is the road I would take. Seriously. The Science Channel, Discovery, History, whatever sounded good to me.
