YES they can! It is just some extreme Jews and Muslims that cannot get along. In this, I say some Christians are also like that.

I'm Jewish and yes it is possible for Jewish people and Muslims to be friends. Actually the cultures are very similar and on a personal level they get on very well the trouble seems to happen when they are in groups and the groups start to factionise. On a political level they may always be 'brothers in arms' - this is a legacy from the old testament - Abraham or Ibrahim (depending on your religion) is responsible - he had 2 wives (Sarah and Hagai) who each gave him a son (Isaac and Ishmael) and he treated Isaac better than Ishmael. In Hebrew Avraham means the father of multitudes or nations.

Muslims extremist say only a dead Jew is a good Jew! and I think the good Jews are fed up with the bullsh*t and threats so they are on the offensive as well! but there are Palestinians and Jews who are the best of friends ! so here and there there is such a thing!

They can be, and always have been, brothers. There is always infighting in even the most ideal families. God deliberately allowed the most prized birthrights in early biblical times to be bestowed on the second sons, superseding human custom and exposing the roots of conflict in the Middle East.

You can be friends with whoever you want to. There is nothing to stop you other then they do not want to be friends with you. There is an old saying that goes:

"Keep you friends close, BUT keep your enemies closer"

I am NOT saying this about Muslims or ANYONE else, it is just a good rule to follow with anyone.

Ofcoarse they can. You should never base a person on their religion or culture because i notice people are judged to quickly based on that, which has nothing to do with the personality of the individual, not everybody is the same, and after all this is the 21st century. :)
