If you mean you want to create a manual restore point then click on the Start Button, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Then choose Create a Restore Point, enter a name and it will be done!

Can't see why everyone says its a waste of space as I have used it quite a few times without any problems. I assume you have opened the system restore page as mentioned previously. If so and you can't get it to work when choosing the option of creating a restore point, then I would suggest clicking the help button at the top, this will open a page for various things, one of them being to turn system restore on. It may be worth checking. Can't give any more help as not certain how far you get before you have a problem with it. Another useful thing to remember is if you are happy with your system at any given point, then go into disc clean up and click the "more options" tab, then click the button at the bottom under the heading of system restore, this will get rid of all but your latest restore point and free up quite a bit of space on your hard drive.

Go to the start button, go to help and support centre, in the column Pick a Task, it says restore system, when you enter this it will give you a choice of date that you can revert to. If this is unsuccessful to to online answering where you can have a one to one customer support advice that will take you through the problem. Hope this helps.
