I don't know if this is considered a superstition or just old medicine, but when my daughter was born 13 yrs. ago my ex mother in law told me if I didn't lay in bed for 10 days after having her my vagina would fall out. LOL
My ex father in law said if you see a shooting star it means someone is going to die. The closer it is the closer the person will be to you. I always heard you make wishes on shooting stars though.
Then my ex husband grandmother cussed me out and told me I was going to die cause I took the Christmas tree down before New Years Day. She also thought I was a witch cause I bought some black satin sheets too.

I forget which country has this but if an old woman approaches a baby the mother will spit on the child to ward off evil spirits just in case the old lady was putting a hex on the child. That's the most bizarre one I've ever heard of.

I do not believe in superstitions, but the weirdest one I have ever heard is if you don't eat someones birthday cake it is an omen and will bring that person bad luck the whole year. LOL

Not to put shoes on a table, it will bring bad luck to you..
Put red cloth or ribbons unknowingly into the pockets of your loved ones to ward off the evil eye...the mal' occhio, better known as 'the mahlookies' if you want to say it phonetically

I've heard this before that if your feet are swept you wont ever get married or you'll have bad luck. I swept a coworker's feet once and he got mad and spit on the broom and left the room till I was finished sweeping.

i was trapped in my flat for 5 hours the other day as the upstairs neighbour was having sky installed ans the ladders was up over my front door
