All theories on deja vu are speculative and there is no universally accepted justification for the phenomenon.

One of the most popular theories at present relaes to the interplay between the conscious and unconscious mind. Some scientists believe that the unconscious absorbs information regarding our whereabouts faster than the conscious. When our conscious mind has the chance to catch up, we get the impression we've experienced this before, when really we have experienced the same exact scenerio a moment earlier, but via our subconscious.

Another theory that seems to be losing favour is that deja vu occurs when there is a mismatch between the images we receive through either eye. We process an image with only one eye, and when the second catches up, thus giving us a complete view, we get the impression we've seen this all before. Of course, this would mean people with vision in only one eye, or blind people, could not experience the phenomenon.

One time we was in Massachusetts and we were lost. So we went to this small town close by. When we were in the town some how I knew where we were. Maybe it was from a past life who knows, but it stills gives me the chills to this day.
