Why can't christians keep their beliefs in their church and stop acting like everyone has to be christians?

There's always some christian talking about how homosexuality is wrong and all that outside of church. Do these christians realize that everyone does not believe in that stuff? I'd understand a christian preaching to a homosexual who goes to their church on the rules of the bible. But why do christians annoy people with that stuff who aren't in church as if everyone is a christian like they are. I don't think christian should tell people homosexuality is a sin at all unless a homosexual is in their church and the christian knows for the homosexual wants to be more christian. It's not like we see gothic people going up to everyone outside of their groups or wherever they hang out, going; "Wearing bright, colorful colors isn't goth like and is wrong. It's not the correct thing to do." You should only tell people who are apart of that and are trying to be a goth or christian. But christians come on yahoo answers as if we're at church and everyone practices their ways and starts preaching.

with Christians, you should at least try to understand that really they are just trying to "save" you in their eyes, so you can go to heaven, which really is a nice jesture considering- even if they are mistaken in their faith.
But you're right, NO ONE has the right to try to bully you into the way they think or what they believe, no matter what the reason - but remember, you always have the option of not listening to these preachers.

Christians are taught, through scripture, that they are to go into the world and preach the good news. The problem of course is that they neither do it with respect nor do they preach the good news, instead we get a diet of judgement, arrogance, presumption and just plain meanness. They cannot be blamed for this as they truly believe what they are doing. As some have said here, it wouldn't be so bad if they at least had a semblance of respect for others, but the truth is, the don't. "I'm right and you're going to hell" is the standard mantra. Christ must truly be cringing at what they consider spreading the good news.

Now, as for Gray's assertions: First off, Christians choose their faith, they choose to believe.......and that is their right.

Gays, contrary to what many believe, do not choose who they are, it is not a belief, it is a state of being.

So, when Gray makes the statements he does, he is being less than truthful and certainly less than intelligent on the matter.

For those of you who say that they are doing it because they think it is right and that is what their religion tells them to do, does that mean that it should be condoned? Are you willing to accept that action for ALL religious beliefs, or only Christianity? For instance, the people who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks ALSO believed that what they were doing was right, AND THAT THEIR RELIGION TOLD THEM THEY SHOULD DO THINGS LIKE THAT! But to me, that doesn't make their actions acceptable.

In a civilized society, forcing your religious beliefs on other people is NOT the correct action, whether YOU believe it to be right or not.

Because they have nothing better to do with their lives!! They like to interfere with everybody elses. Maybe if they concentrated on what goes on in their own community instead of others they wouldn't be so highly strung.Their blood-pressure must be sky high!!??
It annoys me when people you don't even know comment on what they believe to be right (all based on a book that NOBODY can prove to be non-fiction/fiction).Everybody has their own views on how to live their own life,so they should butt out and stop poking their noses in where it isn't wanted.

I think the reason is because they trying to lead non belivers to GOD, and not let them die in Hell, they belive "we" are lost souls in the world and we need to find God and let him take controI...

I say this because my family is Christian and they have told me the same thing.

I've tried to listen and change my life "when i was youger-like 19, but i was'nt able, it was soo hard and uncomfortable for me, when i was 21 i came to tell my family where i stood in life and they turned their back on me.

I know have lived my life along side friends instead of family, im 26 now and still see and hear this topic everywhere, more so and it scares me because i feel like im gonna go to hell for the life i live.

True Christians don't don't try and get on your nerves or hate you they are just doing a job of compassion Christ doesn't hate u either He only hates Sin. You can always say thanks but no thanks. If a Christian said I want to kill myself wouldn't you come to his aid. Its not an option for us We luv u baby!!!
