I answered this already. People need to SEARCH questions before posting their own.

Yes apparently that is a trend which is here to stay.

Starting with Ronald Reagan, there are more and more 'actors' getting into politics and I can see why, although I dont like it.

Politicians' biggest problem is being KNOWN. Getting their name and face out there. Actors have this accomplished already;

Running a political campaign takes a LOT fo money and celebs have a LOT of their own money to spend on campaigns;

They have a LOT of free time in between infomercials and awards shows.

Frankly, most actors ARE actors because of some deep-seated inferiority complex, an inner need for people to admire them in public. This is not the type of person we need governing us.

They have no formal training iin Politics, or Law, no aspirations to being politicians, etc. They try politics mostly because movie offers stopped coming.

People believed them in movies, so people tend to believe them in office as well, whether they are honest or not.

For joining active politics there is no bar, anybody by profession doesn't give any harm except he /she should be a normal person. In case of actor it is quite okay , for example Mr. Ronald Reagan become Prime Minister of USA , Mrs Jayalalitha become a popular Chief Minister in India and so on. Our popular President Dr. Abdul Kalam is a great scientish, he was strongly opposed by Pakistan Prime Minister with negative opinion.Today he shows the world that he is a best President. So whether Amitabh or Arnold there is no problem.

America is a very sick society..

In politics they need lot of acting to cheat the people. They can add their colourful character to loot the people.South Indian actress Jayalalitha become the CM of Tamil Nadu, and amass a handful of wealth by torturing others. Her collections include 10,000 pairs of shoes, golden plates, million saris, ornaments, etc.

I do think, it is bad. politices is a different subject. If any actor or
actress are comming in politices, Our, economical condition will be
disbalanced. But, there are so many parties (political) are selected
& elected for their strong in vote banking. So many actors & actress
has been elected in assembly & Loksabha . But, they do not shown
their best performanance in political carrier. Do you know, our BIG-
B- Amitabh Bachhan having a great personality. But, He has been faliured in politices & resigned.
Actors & actress are not fitted in politices.

Not really because actors and actresses basically learn how to professionally lie.

Think about it... they are masters of fooling ppl, being able to pretend they are something they aren't and how would you hever know when they are telling the truth.

Just tell the B movie actors, and the washed up musicians that libs trot out to manipulate young people to just go away!

If you run for office, that's one thing, but just spouting off with an uninformed opinion like they do is idiotic!
