a) I think fashion followers and British bands etc look to the 70s and 80s because that was an exciting time in fashion and music

b) all fashion is recycled!!

I agree with Skidoo. We looked to the past in fashions. In the late 70's for example, a modified 1950's look for men was all the rage with leather jackets, quiffed hair, etc.

As a middle aged "hippie" who still dresses in 70's flowing skirts, cheesecloth etc I can only express surprise that I am now a fashion follower.
Mind you, it's good to be fashionable after so many years! LOL.

Because often futuristic clothing is considered as pvc black and tacky silver edgey designs that often nobody wants to wear.
