Good question, but the area of the body between the hips and rib cage is the waist. You have described Mr.Bunny as wrapping a towel around his own poo. Yeeuch!!

If you are old enough to remember Rainbow, you will recall that Bungle the bear was naked too. However in one episode they went to the beach and Bungle went behind a rock to put his swimming trunks on! Bizarre!

I'm more confused about the Goofy and Pluto situation. They are both dogs, and all the other animals in Disney cartoons can talk, so why can't Pluto??????

maybe there fur/hair is wet and you can sort of see trough it, also its hard for animators make it appear the a character is dripping wet so they use objects such as a towel to make it look like their still wet
