Boy that's an over-the-top party for a 10 year old!
If your daughter know his interests, a game or CD would be good. While it's not very personal, kids like gift cards because they can pick out what they want.

My daughters' friends are all turning 10 this year. Some of the boys are real football nuts but others would really like music or money. I know it's boring but that's what kids want these days especially as computer games are so pricey. Otherwise talk to the parents or go "halves" with another guest on something dearer.

I'm gonna take a stab at this one and say hockey cards or other sport of coarse. Just cause they can be interactive, educational, you hold on to them for a long time if not forever and usually they only go up in value. If a "set" is to expensive maybe a nice binder with the plastic sleeves and a couple packs at least it will get him started. Good Luck Shopping

This whole idea of that kind of party seems a little too sophisticated for a 10 year old to me, but that's not the question, is it? Call the child's mother and have her clue you in on his interests. It's the only sure way to go.

Find out what he likes and get something in that line. Or the new Harry Potter book they all seem mad on that. Or if he has a playstation or Xbox perhaps a game for that. Tickets for a favored sporting event. Totally depends on the child really...talk to his mother and try to get some ideas from her.

ask ur daughter what she thinks... if he likes sports maybe a gift card to modells or video games a gift card to game store...i think a gift card is the best step, unless she knows him very well to get him an actual object

well how about something to do with football, if he is into a particular team? or just give a voucher for a high st. store, as people can be quite fussy with presents these days..
