hi !!
speaking of India,we have a lot of drawbacks in terms of infrastucture which needs to be looked into immediately.
the authorities are strangely indifferent to the game and young guys don't feel motivated to play the game.they would rather dream to join ''MRF PACE ACADEMY'' rather than ''TATA FOOTBALL ACADEMY'' :every kid wants to be sachin,no one wants to be like bhaichung!!
proper talent needs to be spotted from the grassroot level,we need to concentrate on the nursery leagues and set up more academies like the ''TFA'' with proper faculty.
the game needs to be packaged smartly:just cheerleaders dance will not help the cause.
we need to use our stadiums to play football and not conduct book fairs.

South africa are good contenders for the rugby world cup but not the other 2 really. Australia have cricket easily and have a good chance in the rugby but not in football. England is basically fairly well chanced in all 3, so I think the one most likely to win all three would be England.

I think u r Indian. If my guess is right then first tell me who told u that India have best players. Have u watched any Indian football match? Go and watch an Indian football match and then watch any EPL or Champions league match then u will get the answer.

I'm kind of guessing your description of "best players" is a little biased. If you had the best players, you would have qualified and would be in the finals more often than not.
Fifa world rankings (Dec 06) are
1.Brazil
2.Italy
3.Argentina
4.France
5.England
By definition, they have the best players

1st of all, you dumbshit, how about informing us what country your from, & second, re-iterate your question (are you asking why your team has yet to qualify for the tournament or has yet to host the tournament?) & learn to spell.
Oh & also if your asking why your country has yet to qualify for a Fifa World Cup, it is because they aren't a good enough team to qualify.

Your country's national team have to qualify. Just the host nation are pre qualified.
