I have no idea. But if you think well, we wouldn't have any civilization at all, like buildings, clothes , movies, songs, if someone who knew how to do it first wouldn't transmit it further to the next generation, and these things that pass from generations to generations, including how the countries were born, and where they bound, this is history. The totality of events that occurs and affect or influence the human kind.A record of other people's lives, people who lived a long time ago or just now, usually only the people who left an impression. We can only teach the history that was preserved. There were times when history wasn't known cause no one wrote anything or what was written was lost. But since the writing became available on large scale, then the history added too many details, especially in the 20th century. And in the future I think there will increase the brain capacity especially in order to remember all details from sciences to everydaylife.

So conclusion,as what we did today is our personal memory, history is the memory of the human kind that we all share.
Of course, sadly but true the majority of people who lived once is not mentioned in history because they just lived their lives and did nothing extraordinary, though the history itself wouldn't exist without them. They are anonymous heroes.Only people who made a difference are recorded, especially over large periods of time.

In my opinion many events were caused by people or reasons who remain unknown to the general public, meaning they are secret. And this is very important. Because it is said that history repeats itself. But who knows exactely what happened once?
History is like the repetition of letters that form words, it may repeat but in different phrases and with different meanings.

There is this organism called "salmonella". This organism has been responsible for countless cases of food poisoning and even death over the centuries. The history of how this bug is responsible for so much suffering and of how mankind learned to avoid salmonella is pretty doggone important - because salmonella is still around and people still occasionally get sick because of it. Would you rather your parents followed you through life hollering at you to wash your hands and only eat well-cooked chicken and fish, or would you prefer to learn the history involved and why that's necessary for your good health and then be left alone to run your own life?
Yo, there's hundreds of nasty little germs like that, and wouldn't you rather know the history of how people learned to keep from getting sick rather than experience those illnesses yourself? THAT's why history is important: you don't want to repeat it and learn the important stuff the hard way! One of those germs, which is still around and which still makes some people sick every single day, killed a third of the population of the world only a few hundred years ago. In fact, it did that more than once - it's the germ that causes Plague, the "Black Death". Or how about the ones that cause Malaria, the oldest known disease, which is still around? Or Hansen's Disease, also called "Leprosy"? Didn't know Leprosy's still around, did ya? The United States Public Health Service still runs a leprosarium - a hospital just for victims of Leprosy - in Carville, Louisiana. Wanna visit? I thought not. So study history and learn how to avoid catching Leprosy!
How's them for good reasons to study history, dude?

History...other than life itself..is the most important part of life. To be completely aware of how to survive in todays world...you have to know how people used to survive and what used to happen. Having knoweldge of such things helps you understand the way things work in todays world..how they evolved. The whole idea of evolution came from history. We are continually learning history..if not as a direct subject then through other ones. It is through history that we learn many of the things we know today.
