Is peristalsis britain or american spelling? Can it be spell like that? (paristalsis)?

I am not sure if paristalsis or peristalsis is the correct spelling... Can anyone tell me ?!

I think "peristalsis" may be both. I know it is used in America. See National Institutes of Health source below. It also appears in Encyclopaedia Britannica.

Your first spelling was the correct one. It's "peristalsis" in both the UK and the US...

It is spelled "peristalsis" according to dictionary.com
