I want to level a concret floor,do i need to use a bonding agent first, deepest part is 1/4 " also do I need to seel the leveler before painting tk,s

The technical data in the first link below advises using a bonding adhesive first. You might be able to skip the bonding adhesive if you etch the surface of the concrete with phosphoric acid. Personally, I would rather work with the bonding adhesive. You should give the leveler at least a week to dry before painting. A primer should be used before painting to improve bonding and prevent alkali from affecting the paint. Also, be sure to use a paint color that is not alkali-sensitive. The second link below is advice for painting stucco that also applies to concrete.

They say to use a bonding agent, but those adhesion agents are mighty expensive. Personally, I'd just clean the floor really well. Give it a heavy grit sanding with a pole sander and pour away...

It depends on the size of the concrete slab. I paid $1100 for a two car garage, the apron in front of it and 3 slabs in the drive. They drilled a ton of holes in the slabs and injected a limestone slurry into the ground to jack up/level, and stabilize the slabs.

you might even be able to chip little spots in it so that the concrete has something to anchor into.
seriously, though, if the most severe part is only 1/4", is it really worth it?
