It appears to serve an apprenticeship you have to be 16 to 24, ok , so employers might not want to invest money in a 60 year old (sorry sexagenarians ) but at 32 years of age, and in the present economic climate, i could be working for the next 40 years. And yet at 32, i would be positively welcomed into higher ed.

They get Government Grants for training young people.
Also, young people have lower Minimum Wage.
