I really dont want to get conned..besides, i sell hightech laptops/PDA/Ipods and stuff...

Its too risky for me too...

its not too much to ask to guarantee you have your payment before sending out goods.if you accept payments via transfer ,ie paypal etc wait for confirmation and then at least 4 days more before sending goods, good reliable buyers will understand this, but im sure you are aware there is a call back period for payments even after you have been told payment has been made.take no chances, ebay is a good community but as with all good auction sites there is always an ar*e hole or two that mess things up and want to con people.make a note on your listings that despatch will be within 5 days of payment receipt and then send out goods on the 5th day after payment was made and you shouldnt have any probs.

Definitely not. You should always make sure your money is there before shipping out. If anyone should ask you to ship the product first tell them no. If they don't want to pay for it then file an unpaid item report on them. You don't have to use a middle bank, like paypal, you can accept cashiers checks, personal checks or money orders only. My and my husband will only accept Paypal, m.o or cashiers checks. We don't want to have to worry about waiting for checks to clear and all that.

Hi,

Every product I have purchased from eBay has required me to pay before it is shipped.

You should old buy from trustworthy people with high feedback and has been a member for atleast 6 months.

No one ships before payment is received. If the buyer doesn't trust you, use an escrow agent. Ebay will explain this.
