Have you ever heard the saying:
"It's not the machine but the man behind the machine."
Well there is a lot of truth to that.

If you look at the players that are winning the grand slams and big tournaments, most of them use Wilson. Wilson is so far ahead of other racquet brands that it's scary. The technology and science put into their racquet making is phenomenal. I'd go to their website and check out what they've got to offer, but as a loyal customer of theirs, I would have to say that I've gotten much better, and their racquets have had a big part in that.
I've never used any other racquet besides Wilson, and I never plan to. Ever since I was 4, I used Wilson. Upgrading my racquet every year or so was like learning and improving on a new skill. I have never had a coach, because I don't believe in getting one, and I was #1 on my high school tennis team (and the only one who didn't have a coach). You may be saying that our high school team must have sucked, but we won the the state title 5 years in a row... I really do believe that, with natural talent, Wilson helped me with my skills and has made me the player I am today.
It's completely up to you, because everyone prefers something different. From my experience, if it were my decision, I'd go with Wilson, baby!

I have used every brand, im currently using babolat but have at various times used wilson, head, yonex and prince. I have my preferences but the best racquet is the one that feels the best in your hands. Its as simple as that.
One guy above was talking about the science that wilson has behind them, what that has to do with anything I don't know. I don't care if my racquet is made outta stuff that can make it to the moon if it feels sluggish on serves.
If i had to pick from the frames i've used, I liked in order
1.Babolat
2.Head
3.Prince
4.Yonex
5. Wilson

Its really the racquet that matches your game...Wilson's although have done a much better job of making a racquet that plays great from everywhere on the court...it volleys serves groundies...everything is great...the difference with say a babolot is that it is designed for a one sided player...babolots are great for semi and full western forhand and spin shots...really helps ur serve..from those aspects theyre amazing...but volleys and other such shots are terrible on them..they feel awful from the net...so if ur not a net player maybe thats what u want...but thats how it is...u fina a racquet that matches ur game...witha wilson though..u can feel safe enough ull find one that suits u well..although u shuld try as many as u can just in case theres another u fin u love

They're all good racquets but you do know that no matter what racquet you get it's really not going to make you a better player. Sure if you find a racquet you're comfortable with that's good but you have to develop skill and that doesn't come from purchasing a racquet. And you're forgetting one very large brand. HEAD. Head racquets are AMAZING. Andre Agassi used a Head Flexpoint. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for the rest of us.

I've been playing tennis for over 40 years and I don't believe that any particular brand has ever had any impact on my game. In fact, I currently play with a cheap Wilson racket that I picked up at Walmart.
I'm reminded of once as a child when I was playing golf with my father (who was a great golfer) and complaining that I need new clubs. On the 7th hole, he got tired of my bitching and moaning and motioned for me to come over to him. When I got there, he scolded me for not practicing enough yet thinking that I should be Jack Nicklaus. He then hit me with the clincher when he correctly pointed out that he could beat me with an old 5-iron and a putter.
I'm not sure he needed that many clubs.

I used to love wilson beyond everything that there was in tennis. But one day I was playing with my friend who likes to use the o3 prince series. I broke a string on my only wilson racquet and he offered me one of his o3's. I loved it. It was sooo easy to swing and it improved my game a ton. Now I wear prince quick trak shoes, and have three prince o3 tour's and play in prince t-shirts everywhere i go!
