About a year ago, I saw a trailer for a live action Simpson's movie. Now all of the previews are all animation. What happened?

That was not a trailor for a live action movie, it was just a funny video some people in the UK made for you tube. It's really cool, it looks JUST like the simpsons beginning credits. But to answer your question, the movie was never going to be live action, it was always planned to make it an animation. Good thing too, the cartoon is too funny.

what you saw (and what you are linking to) is not a movie trailer and never was. that live action clip was done in the united kingdom as a promo. if you notice at the end of the live action, the family is sitting on the couch watching tv, which happens to be the simpsons in animation.
i don't think there was any thought of making it live action. i mean, who could possibly be talented enough to play homer?

no its a cartoon movie. that clip you saw is just a skit someone made of the begginning of the show, nothing more

Oh, thank god they didn't make it live-action. It would be Hollywood's biggest blunder.....just stay animation.....
