when u breed a guppy and a mosquito fish the appearance will be half the tail will grow a little longer and the body will have a lighter color....well congratulations because you crossbreed the livebearers.the endler fish looks like a male mosquito fish only that it is a little prettier.the endler is much more dominant i have tried it before and so i have seen the results....anyway that is a good question that deserves a smart answer. i will appreciate if other breeders of live bearer will give an answer because your question is so interesting...i just wanted to ask who wants a guppies?????i can give some!!!!!!

Guppies have some of the least stable genetic in the fish world. It;s not uncommon for them to have up to 5% or more mutation rate in a single generation. That's why the colors are so very hard to fix. The fry would have some of the color of the guppy involved but be very broken by the color (or lake thereof) in the mosquito fish.

My question is why do this? Cross breeds should never be sold or released IMO as they can end up polluting species, even though most are sterile.
