im doin and essay on this statement!!

I think the writer is describing the fact that stories are told so that others can know something that was once unknown. People wouldn't read something that they already knew about, but when someone reads a work of fiction about wizards the story shows and helps the reader understand that world, which the reader would have never known about. Stories, because they are told by somene else, allow us to see from that persons perspective.

I think it mean stories allow us to imagine other places and worlds that we'd never see in the real world. It's a statement of how powerful our imagination really is.

i would say that storie's help you understand how other people live. other world's. other country's maybe. sorry if this dosen't help.
