How about a satire of a Chat Room.

It would start with an empty stage.

Someone would walk in and say HELLOOO!!!

And so on... people would come into the room and say they are someone they are clearly not...

The goal of the play would be to show how disconnect we are in this cyber-society!

I usually find ideas for satire in politics. Let's face it, George W., Tony Blair & John Howard (Australian prime minister, if you're not Australian) provide endless material for satirical writing. The only difficulty I find these days is that the right wing is so far right that it's hard to think up something more ridiculous than they are saying.

When I was your age I began my hobby of writing satire using the following scenario, "Imagine Australia were invaded by giant mosquitoes." My class-mates all wrote sci-fi type stories, I simply thought, "What would our politicians & various other public figures do if Australia were invaded by giant mosquitoes?" The essay wrote itself after that.
