here i don't want that software to install in all my friends computer. like net send. but it is not working in my lan . if you have solution for net send , then tell me . i need it very urgently.

Try this, similar to the Net Send function, allows you to select users etc.

Softros can broadcast messages over LAN. You have administrative options in this app, any user option like messaging, files transfer can be disabled. Good solution for office users.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, i know this one!!!!!
Windows xp has a built in thing called a console message, built specially for sending messages over the LAN.
Control panel; administrative tools; computer management (i have a shortcut to computer management on my desktop for easy access); right click on an empty space in the folder and select all tasks; consol message.
it lets you search for available computers to send it to (add; advanced) and pick who gets the message.
It has been useful for me. hope it was what ur looking for.

try using "net send /domain:YourDomainName message", but u need to unify the DomainName/Workgroups of all computers to be one name like Alone_Wg. it will broadcast your message to this workgroups only!

You need some sort of LAN messenger and I had used one named vYPress ( http://www.vypress.com )
