I think the media is currently pressing americans to buy into an idea called islamofascism. Fascism is in my understanding a government system based on a strong centralized government, a strong military, the popular perception of decreased personal liberties, system wide racism as well a rampant nationalism. With the patriot act, current military spending, the demonization of Islam, the number of people who watch Fox as a news source (likely extreme nationalists) who is the fascist?? Maybe it should be the rise of Christofascism.

The Taliban are certainly extremists, but otherwise, most conservative muslims are less conservative than christian conservatives. There are no Muslim troups occupying western countries, but the US has forces in many arab countries, not just afghanistan and iraq. in fact, Al Qaeda attacked us because we had 8 military bases in saudi arabia since the first gulf war. after 9/11 president bush closed those bases. The fact is the US and Israel are slowly, but surely trying to carve out a large westernized region in the mideast, and if you oppose us you're labeled as a terrorist, extremist or both.

The only point of their radicalism is to put other people in harms way. That is why there should be a separation of church and State as the founding fathers wrote the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The smallest sects of Americas population shouldn't have the power to Dictate for others, its not Constitutional. That is where the Fascism comes into play and it has to be crushed.

There are extremists in every group. They make up a small part of the group, but unfortunately--due in part by the media--they seem to represent the group. Most Muslims are not extremists; most Christians are not extremists.

Americans can vote, Americans treat Muslims far better than Muslim countries treat Christians. Liberals USE to care about the rights of woman, gays and minorities UNLESS they happen to be in a Muslim nation. -It shows your hypocrisy.

There are extremists in every group, however, I don't know of Christians sawing off heads or blowing themselves up!
Christian extremists are denounced by Christians, you can't say the same of Muslims...
As for Fox News if you can't handle the truth, there is always the liberal media; NBC CBS ABC CNN, you know what the buttons on the remote are for, right

Muslims are more extreme than the Christians because some of them believe that Islam tolerates violence as long as the end justify goodness to be appreciated by Allah.
