I was cheating on my wife with her brother and then her mom caught us. Her mom is blackmailing me for $100,000. I only have $300,000 in savings. Should I pay her? I don't really know cause I'm almost certain my wife cheats on me with my friend and that's way screwed up. So I feel like if I came clean she can't really be that mad at me cause she's cheating too? I'm absolutely flabbergasted. What should I do?

I can't believe we got caught. We've been doing it for like 3 years. What should I do? Any help at all would be appreciated!

Nowhere do you mention how your wife would feel…now, don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you, but I mention this because if that's not your main concern, then you know where you stand in your marriage. Meaning, it's done and dusted.

You're not into her, she's not into you, and you've got a criminal for a mother-in-law and a whole other potential set of problems on your hands with your wife's brother. Get your mother-in-law's blackmail on tape, turn her in and get a divorce attorney. It will be a lot cheaper in the end, as your mother-in-law will continue to withdraw from your Guilty Bank until you have no savings left to buy a bag of chips with.

If your wife does decide to stay with you, then take the money and get a good marriage counselor. The two of you will also need to remove yourselves from her family for good, because they are toxic.

To tell you the truth, I don't even know you, but I'd prefer you to be happy and alone, with at least half of your savings so that you can get your own place and find true happiness on your own, and eventually, with someone else. What you're going through now certainly isn't living.

You've got 2 options...

#1, pay her off
#2, use the $100,000 to pay for hitmen to "remove the problem".

Seriously, though... File this one under "you made that bed, now sleep in it". If ya hadn't been banging someone other than your wife, you wouldn't be in this situation...

you should get divorced because married people aren't suppose to cheat on each other. come clean, and then get divorced. don't pay the mom a cent. leave while you can!

I bet you really know what to do. Just get the right timing to tell your wife about it and accept the consequence.

Make your brother-in-law pay half of the blackmail.
