You find a wallet containing 20000 dollars. The purse also has a visiting card wherein the name of the owner of purse has been given. You go to his home and hand him over the purse. The person is very pleased and takes a note out of 1000 dollars from the wallet and asks you to accept it for your honesty.

What would you do in this situation?

Would you accept that note?

Would you not accept the note and say that was your duty.

Would you feel offended by his act of offering you the money because if you were money minded, you would not had returned the money?

What would be your reaction?

i would say thank you, but i can't accept your offer. i'd feel that he/she is gracious and the person is sweet. but, i wouldn't want to have to feel like i should get incentive for doing the right thing.

I would be grateful for the thought and happy that I am $1000 richer. And, NO, I would not report the reward to the IRS.

Its only logical to accept the reward,
but knowing myself I would most likely turn it done. I'm much too naive & honest

If they can afford to carry 20G's in their purse then hell yeah I would take the grand for returning it.

i'd stand there and contemplate it with an unsure expression, then refuse it. then hopefully he'd protest to my decision, then i'd look unsure for a tiny bit longer, then hesitantly take the money. yeeha!!!
