Here's the deal. I'm a guy and there's this male friend whom I felt differently about compared to my other male friends.
I felt like we can be closer like becoming best friends or something. But some people felt that I'm attracted to him.
But of course, I like girls. There's a girl whom I have a crush on. So now I'm confused.
Do u think I'm turning gay just because I wanted to become closer to this male friend? Or is it just nothing and it is just desires to become best friends and nothing more?

it is just a crush - we all have crushes on the same sex at some point (whether people admit it or not) It doesnt mean you are gay - if you are comfortable with your sexuality as hetrosexual then chill

first, why still you haven't done anything about the girl you have a crush on? why dont you start pursuing this crush thing about this girl and if you feel like you wanted to be with her, then i think it is safe to be friends with this guy. otherwise, as long as you are not trying to be with a girl, you'll never know exactly what you really want, to be with a guy or a girl.

I do get this kinda feelings too. And this is what I think.
You really have to ask yourself what is your motive of wanting to become closer to this male friend.
Perhaps you find something in him that you wished you had, for example, his character or his personality, that causes you to want to be close to him.
Maybe you are looking to be a mentor to someone else, to influence another life positively.
Or, you could have always been wanting a brother, to share your life with someone close and of the same gender (not in the sense of marriage/courtship), but just someone you can totally open up to, to chill out with, without feeling uneasy.
Since you have a crush on a girl now, I don't think you are gay. But it is possible that you are bisexual, and you have a crush with that guy too, with "best friends" as a reason to know him more.
I guess you really have to ask yourself, why are you wanting to become closer to this male friend. I personally have this kinda thoughts too, and get confused over them at times too.

We can't tell you...but if you are wanting to be close friends with him, it is perfectly fine and doesn't have to be considered gay. Now, if you fantasize about walking and holding hands, or kissing him...then you could be bisexual.
If you feel like you want to be like brothers, then I suppose it isn't gay. Man, I have two very close friends that I consider my brothers...we can share anything and we're really cool with each other. It is a great friendship to have. I don't think you are gay, just longing for a brother figure.

The two answers before me are right. It is okay for guys to be close, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are gay. Remember he is just another human being and he maybe your platonic soulmate.

obviously it all dependson your situation - how old you are,and how many people you have close to you,what your childhood was like, etc. But by the sounds of it, you want someone to be closeto,and dont want to lose him. But unless when you see him you want to rip his clothes off, i think u r straight.

everyone needs someone in their life. whether it be a friend, girlfriend, or best friend. so if you enjoy doing things with him and him keeping you company there is nothing wrong with that. i mean i dont have a 'best' friend and i would like one.

it is possible that as you seem to be attracted to male and female - that you are bi sexual. Nothing to be afraid or ashamed of.
