I agree with ohio state. You can add michigan to.
I don't see how you can say the Patriots are over rated,They beat SD in SD, If they had beat the colts, they would have won the super bowl too.
This year, the Ravens were over rated, their quality wins were all early in the season, when the defense has the edge over the offense.
Tennessee had to be the most under rated team this year.

As far as the NFL goes, this question is only applicable during the season. At a certain point overrateds and underrateds alike play each other and by February everyone is rated exactly where they should be. In college this is less true for obvious reasons. College over - Ohio State
College under - LSU
The Fiesta Bowl was one of the best sporting events I've ever witnessesd, but to call Boise underrated... look, Oklahoma was a good, but hardly top tier team and Boise needed a miracle (or two, or three) to beat them. They ended up being rated just right as far as I'm concerned.
The most underrated team in recent memory: Utah in '04. They were probably the second best team in the country that year (the year USC thumped Oklahoma) and, even in a BCS game, never got a chance to prove it.

Most overated Michigan. A great team with a great history of losing the big game. Most underated Notre Dame. I know most ND haters out there say the opposite, but keep in mind Notre Dame is an academic school that happens to be good at football. I don't see Vanderbilt, Northwestern and Stanford among other academic schools ever having much success in football. Notre Dame wins the 10 games a year that they're capable of winning and everybody talks about the 2 or 3 games they lose every year. Especially when they play the top teams and lose bad. What do you expect. No one goes to Notre Dame if they don't care about academics. Otherwise you would go to schools like Ohio St. and USC where you can skip class and have things given to you. Don't tell that a guy like Maurice Clarett is a one in a million case. I guarantee schools like Ohio St. are more than happy to recruit guys that have no interest in earning a degree. Most overated NFL team, da Bears. Most underated team, the Tennessee Titans.

Since this is a matter of opinion - I have to say that I do and don't agree with your statements.
I agree completely with your college opinion. I went to Syracuse and saw how bad Rutgers used to be. Just to see them make a bowl this year was like - WOW. They have really turned it around and that's awesome. I also think that West Virginia is a underrated.
Ohio State has never really done anything for me as a fan. I think that it's really boring when you see the same teams over and over again compete for the national championship and Ohio State is one of those boring teams. Miami, Florida and Texas bore me as well.
NFL, well I can agree that the Packers made me do a double take this year. It was great to see Donald Driver and Ahman Green have good years. I have to admit that I was one of those "Brett, just hang 'em up" people. I have always had mad respect for him and didn't want to see him fail. But this past season, I was pleasantly suprised. They have a young team and I think they can make the playoffs with few changes. The 49 er's are also underrated. They have only a few changes to make before they become a force.
I don't agree with your Patriots opinion though. To be fair and balanced, you have to agree that it is NOT easy to win 22 games in a row. Nor is it easy to win 2 Super Bowls in a row...much less 3 in 4 years. They may not have the talent, or the flashy players of other teams, but when it comes down to it - they know how to win. There was only one other defense in the NFL that had fewer points scored on them - Baltimore. Brady still threw over 20 TD's. Dillion and Maroney are forces to reckon with and Ben Watson is one hell of a TE. You have to give them credit that if they can find a way to win - they will use that and exploit it just like any other winning team does.
The 49er's did it in the 80's. In fact, in '84 they smoked the Bears in the playoffs. They used one of their linebackers as a Full Back...so when it came time in '85 for the Bears to face them again - they did the same thing back to them with the Fridge.
I think that if you want to talk about overrated teams, Atlanta is definitely overrated. Michael Vick is nothing but a glorified, immature Running Back, who needs more than he gives. To some degree Chicago is as well. I mean they have an amazing defense...don't get me wrong. But that Rex Grossman is awful!
Just my opinion anyway! I hope that you take this for what it is - an assessment not a critique.

I agree with the NFL overated, but I would say that the Denver Broncos are the most underrated. As for college, The Ohio State Buckeyes are the most overated and the most underated would have to be Boise State. They proved that the little guy can beat the big guy.

I think in College, Texas is way overrated, McCoy is not that good.
I think Boise State is underrated, beating OU really convinced me.
In Pros, I think the Falcons were overrated.Vick, in my opion is not that good, he's fast, so what? Peyton is the slowest quarterback, but who's holding the trophy?
Most underrated is the Packers, Farve can unleash anyday. They got young players around his veteran leadership. Not a bad Combo.
