How do you think the Italy's embracing skeletons died?

i beleive it was suicide i think they took a poison together and laid down embracing eachother and just died that way
sad but sweet id say maybe someone was trying to seperate them

Love? Why assume they were lovers? It's just as likely they were struggling with each other, fell into some muck and, each refusing to let go of their grip on their opponent, died in that state.

I think the reason that they were found buried together locked in this in this embrace is that either one or both of them were married to someone else and that there punishment for adultery was to be buried alive together and that they huddled together like this for comfort.

I would like to believe that they died because of their love and they had to commit a suicide for the sake of it and not because they hated each other and throttled each other!

Probably died while sleeping or commited suicide together because they were in love but weren't supposed to be together.
