Yes, but you won't want to.
Windows will automatically detect the different components and install the new drivers. It won't remove all the old drivers though, and that can cause problems. It is always recommended that you do a clean install of windows when moving the main hard drive to a new system.

XP would load yet you will run into licensing issues finding on no count if or no longer the XP setting up became into registered or no longer. additionally, i do no longer think of you are able to improve from XP to 7. only from Vista. a working laptop or computing device with XP demands a sparkling setting up of seven.

Try it and see. Sometimes you get lucky. It may not work due to different network card etc. sounds silly I know, but with windows 2000 they "fingerprint" the pc which can result in changes in the HAL (hardware abstraction layer) that made it impossible to simply swap disks between SOME (not all) pcs. XP may be similar, especially with the activation thingie..

Sorry but no. as soon as you put the Hd in the new pc your hd will boot to the winxp windows and reboot and keep on rebooting. it will give you the window that tells you that windows did not boot correctly or that something happened with windows can remember right now but you must have gotten that window before.
only if your other motherboard was good you could boot to windows and with a few chages in your device manager could have let you transfer hd to new pc without any problems. but hey try it and if I am wrong than I apologize but I have had that problem happen to my friends and I have had to fix them. most of the time you will have to install windows fresh.
sorry and good luck

Yes, you can, but at boot time i strongly recommend to boot into windows safe mode and reinstall all correct drivers for the new hardware.
