Dude, until Dorian met Lord Henry he was quite naive about his good looks. I too am waiting to meet my Lord, hence, I cannot think I too am like Dorian.

I would only think I were Dorian Gray if I had a painting of myself in my attic that aged rather than me.
Since I don't have an attic, I highly doubt that there is a portrait of me there.
So, therefore, I do not think I am Dorian Gray.

There is a difference between vanity and wanting to look good and looking after ones self. And in my opinion most gay men want to Look good and look after themselves. And I think this is usually misconstrued.

vanity is a very subjective term, it doesn't lend itself to one group more then anouther and is much more of an individual thing.

Plus i have strait male friends that take 4 times as much time in the bathroom getting ready

Vanity is most prevalent among straight women, and this is unfortunately due to pressures our society has placed on them to conform. The media reflect this unrealistic standard. Now please excuse me while I go powder my nose.
