how many people still rather listen to eagles, skynard, etc,,, instead of all the music out now.?

Simply put: todays "music" is substance-less, talent-less crap and garbage. And the major record lables are taking note of the very same thing you now see: people are going "retro", giving bands like The Eagles, Boston, Heart and even Lynyrd Skynyrd serious listen again. And although doubts exist, if the major labels were smart--they'd seek out TALENTED bands that jam out that same classic sound and sign them.

To further back up their observations--hard core sales numbers in the music biz areas of Rap and Alternative both took serious deep nose dives; I'm frankly surprised such genres are still Grammy recognized.

To this very day, bands like The Eagles, Skynyrd and others are still seeing very steady and good yearly album (now CD) sales royalites. The numbers and $$$$ both seem to be saying something there.

I think the Eagles and Skynard are too mellow and boring. But, then again, so is a lot of current music !

I listen to the Eagles. Desperado is my favorite. I love all the moldy oldies and country. Pretty much anything but Rap.

I do! I do! I like what is called classic rock. Some music from today is okay, but there's also a lot of garbage being produced.
