I want to find out where (address on net) can I find a possible way to do an MA in English. I cannot go anywhere. Nearly 50 years old. Busy making a living by teaching English at high school. Want to know more. Doing research on some topics concerning languages is my favourite.

Not sure if I could really help but try searching USUniversities.com. It's a compilation of US Universities and Colleges by GoAbroad.com.

Here's a link for English Study: http://www.usuniversities.com/listings.cfm/degprogID/124

Hope this would be of help.

Good Luck :)

Hi,

I did my MA with the Open University here in Britain. Why don't you investigate The Open University of America (the OU's branch over in the States). They are really expert at distance learning with 250,000 students in all. I did my MA for about £3000 for the whole three years.

It's a very rigorous course and they do mark coursework and essays to a high level and expect much from their students, in return they offer close tutorial support-- I could reach my tutor by phone, email etc.

Give it a go!

PS, just Google either The Open University or The Open University of America
