DECLARATIVE: a statement kind of sentence, like:
"John watched the cattle graze."

INTERROGATIVE: question which expects an answer, like:
"Where were the cattle grazing?"

RHETORICAL: question which does not expect an answer from the audience. Either the speaker will answer it in his next breath, or the answer is implied/obvious. Like:
"Is the Pope Catholic?"

Oh, and one more,
IMPERATIVE: a command sentence like:
"Move the cattle to the upper pasture."

The only "kinds" of sentences I can think of are statements; statements contrary to fact (e.g.. "I wish I were taller"--I am not taller, so it is a statement contrary to fact.); commands, and questions. I guess direct quotations might also be considered a "kind," but I do not know for sure.
