I lost my mobile on 10tj Feb 2007. the set was Nokia 6030.

well you cant find lost mobile by yourself.its better that you go to police station and lodge an F.I.R.then police will get in contact with the mobile company and they can find out.but for police to track your mobile,it must be switch on,then only mobile company can track it.and you must also tell them code of mobile.if you still have the box of mobile,then it must have been written on box.
so check that number and lodge FIR.
but i must tell you,its not easy to find out lost mobiles specially because of lackluster approach of police.

Now days ur mobile is easy to trace as there is a software which is loaded and u can trace it easily. if u have not loaded the software then there is hardly chance to get the mobile but u can get the no .
I myself have also lost 2 mobile in a year time. one of nokia 6030 and another5510i

I am afraid but once it is lost we can't do anything. Proper precaution can be taken as downloading a software that tells location of phone when called from specific predefined number.
But if phone do not support such soft then best way is to keep a lock code so that our classified information do not leak.
