I'm pretty much the same in both worlds---However...
A good percentage of my answers let me indulge my sense of play a lot more than I have opportunity to in my non-internet life, yet I've also been finding that when I answer the serious or more philosophical questions, it helps me focus my thoughts, define my feelings about the issues, and sometimes let me see other perspectives---it's having a positive effect out in the real world too!
Not to mention I've met some folks in Answers who are now friends!

While the anonimity of internet forums does allow for more freedom, I think it is unhealthy for an individual to use ONLY the internet as their point of expression. One should be as free in real life as well...

I speak more freely here, outside here I think things but may not ever say it, less altercations with people.. especially as I get older. I try to be true to myself and kind to others if the same is shown to me..

I find Yahoo Answers holds me back as it wont let me swear as much as I'd like to.
I'm much ruder in real life.
