Martok to me is more Klingon than Worf. Also, he has more feeling (passions) than Worf in a lot of ways.
This being said, Worf has learned much from Martok and the two can be considered brothers in arm.

Plus Martok has a lot of truoble trying to figure out how far away the Jem' Hadar in front of him areFace it it really sucks to swing the Ba'leth at empty space with about 50 Jem' Hadar shooting at you, or worse Borg
