I loved the movie and still do after many years. The music, the actors, when I read your question I actually started humming one of the songs from the movie in my head. So, yes it must have something special to stick with so many people for so many years.

Yes, it does! It is STILL one of the best vampire movies ever, and still has some hilarious one-liners in it. Maybe the best one-liners of all time. "The blood-sucking Brady Bunch" and "The attack of Eddie Munster"! LoL!
