You start counting on the first day there is a true flow, not when you start spotting.

This is an important question. I actually learn the calculation last month. You start counting the first day you spot. Then you count from that day 14 days if you are 28 days cycle it should be that day. If you have irregular cycles. Count from the day before your period starts backward. And then you have the stimated day around you'll be ovulating.
I hope this help!!
Also you can access this great web sites:
www.askdramy.com and my favorite: www.mymonthlycycles.com were you get to monitor everything related to fertilily and period.
Good Luck!!

I count day 1 as the first day that menstrual flow is spotted. It's common for the heavy flow to start up a day or two later but day 1 is when it first starts.

Day 1 is the first day of real flow, not spotting.
You cannot calculate ovulation based on your bleeding.

hi Hannah (very particularly call by ability of how!) the 1st day which you initiate bleeding is day one in each of your cycle. maximum women have some thing particularly on the component of a 28 day cycle althought there is a few version in that. you will ovulate and be fertile 0.5 way between the era which you only had and the only which you predict. So, you will see that in case you're particularly nicely-known and can pinpoint while your next era is going to start, you are able to tell once you would be ovulating. sturdy success with your being pregnant try to that i wish which you get the respond which you quite prefer! Love and advantages woman Trinity~
