I thought that the magic number was 16. Either way, studies show that in the US the age that teens are losing their virginity is dwindling. I believe that the majority of teens lose their virginity around that age is because it's like a standard in the US. For the most part, it's all about following the crowd...peers. I guess that age is the most accepted age among teens to lose their virginity.

Where did you get that information?
And contrary to all the "bragging" here about how young these people claimed to be, not ALL teenagers have had sex. At least a fifth of them typically are still virgins when they graduate from high school. Of course, it depends on where they live: teenagers are under more pressure to have sex in some parts of the country than in others, and some are under more pressure not to have sex in some areas than in others.
Bottom line: don't generalize.

Besides grammatical and spelling errors, you appear to have error of perception and judgment.
Millions of ladies remain virgin throughout their lives, and still most girls remain virgin till they marry.
But what is the definition of Virginity ??
If you mean the "Hymen" ........ well, a lot of girls these days lose their hymen before they reach 17.... and the reason may be sports, masturbation, tampons and so many reasons other than pre-marital sex.
Please do not go by sleazy NewsPaper Reports. Make a first-hand study of the society around you. (Have all your sisters and female relatives lost their virginity before they reached Seventeen ??? ??? )

I was 14.
By the way? Some people ASSUME that those of us who were so young when we started having sex are "BRAGGING", they need to know that there are MANY different reasons why a person may have had sex at such a young age. Molestation, rape, rebellion, or sometimes just a skewed sense of love and sex. And it doesn't make a person BAD to have had sex at a young age either.
I'm sick of prudes acting like they're so much better than everyone and judging people.
