handheld games consoles?

which is the best handheld games console? im thinking mainly of the two biggies - nintendo ds or sony psp. which has the widest/best range of games, most features, is best value for money...that sort of thing?

The DS definatley.Ds is for 129.99 and the PSP is from 199.99-249.99.And DS has a broud # of games since you can use acual DS games and game boy advance games as well.The DS has wifi for a internet connection at maybe starbucks,mcdonalds,and other coffee shops.DS also has pictochat so you can talk to other DS users near you.Also you can download other games via DS.

Ds hands down (only if you want something for gaming). Although a psp has movie and music players its no ipod. But DS is more interactive w/ its innovative wifi and games that come out every month. More people play on Nintendo WIFI than the psp Wifi. Ds is more simple, so get the DS its great.

psp can get on the internet, play music, movies, music videos, and hold photos, and it has a very large screen and graphics ten times as good as the ds lite. for $300 i would reccommend you get a psp core package($200), a 1 GB memory stick pro duo($25) and a game($30), and a media manager. the memory stick pro duo lets you put dvds and music and photos onto you psp, and the media manager lets you put dvds, and cds, and photos onto your computer, so then you can put them onto your psp. i own a psp, and have had it for a month only played free downloads of games i get off the internet, and loving it, and would never sell it. my ds lite was on ebay ina month along with 4 very popular games. for those people that say you can download games onto you ds, yes you can download cheap demos, and play them until you turn your ds off. you can connect with wifi not to surf the web, but to play online multiplayer, up to 8 people where on the psp you have up to 32 people. and there are not just violent games like grand theft auto on the psp, either, there are happy feet games, and a game called loco roco that si insanely fun.... al around ps has way more features, and way more games(that are worth playing by someone other than a 5 year old)

It depends on what type of games you are into, I had the same problem deciding which one to buy for my girlfriend for christmas. The DS is better for an all round range of games as my girlfriend enjoys games like the sims, mario, happy feet things like that. The psp is more grown up games GTA, The Warriors, Medal of honour. The majority of people I spoke to told me to get the DS as there is a wider range of games, 2 screens and you can also play gameboy advance games on them.

ok in case you want the most ideal i'd say the ds lite or psp in case you want rpg and arcade video games get dslite in case you want activities combating and shootting video games get psp besides the undeniable fact that the ds lite cost decrease than the psp and the wii isn't and hand held console
