Most men you have to train them.
Playfully say, my birthday is coming up in 2 weeks.
Same goes for Anniversaries, etc....
Next time you go somewhere tell him you want to go look at rings since you didnt get one. If anything, get him to buy you a gold band. I started off with one. Then my hubby over the years bought me wrap arounds with Diamonds to go with my band.
BTW Happy early Birthday

Get a calendar and write in bold letters "MY BIRTHDAY!!" and put a smiley face beside it. Put a page of the same font on the fridge with a magnet. That way youre saying the message but not being pushy.

I`m sorry for that...
You can talk to him calmly, I suggest you may need to tell him your feelings...if your sad, angry, happy, or if there`s any pain you have in your heart. It may take time to change a person`s atittude...but if he loves you i know he`ll understand you.
I know how sad you are...but you have tell him anything about your feelings, and tell him also that he can talk to you anytime about anything he feels and thinks, I know that being open to each other will make your relationship last for a long time.
Good Luck, and Advanced HAppy Birthday!

Remind him. Tell him you are looking forward to your birthday or ask him if he has to work that evening. If you don't remind him you are going to end up disappointed like last year.

better remind him. perhaps, he is just forgetful. so many men are really forgetful about things like that. it's not in their nature to remember birthdays, etc. just remind him. i assume he is a responsible enough father and husband, so forgive him for his forgetfulness. i have also experienced that. it hurts at first, but i've learned to live with it.

I would love to see you plan your own shindig and then invite him to it. Seriously...it's okay to throw your own bday. He'll feel like a such a jerk by the end of the night he'll probably be taking credit for it. If he doesn't realize he should pay attention to these things more maybe he's not that cool.

He is one of those guys who just don't comprehend that he needs to celebrate your special days.
I would remind him.
And ask him WHY he can't do anything special for you.
My daughters bf is like that, and she made up her mind to accept him as he is. He often gets her a suprise for no reason at all

According to him you are the essential thing to remember, not your birth day.I don't think he could forget you.Let him forget your birthday and remember him that you forget my birth day, then you can see how much he loves you.
